LONGMONT, CO -- DigitalGlobe announced the acquisition of GlobeXplorer, a geographic data and publishing subsidiary of Stewart Information Services (NYSE: STC) DigitalGlobe has its own satellite able to take high-resolution photos of the earth, and hopes to combine its capabilities with GlobeXplorer's web-based search and delivery applications. The company will sell the resulting services in the Commercial Remote Sensing market and hopes to be the first single-source destination for digital Earth imagery. DigitalGlobe also sells its digital imagery products and services into government markets.
